Empowering Africa's Emerging Leaders: A Strategic Partnership with LéO Africa Institute On July 7th, 2022, the Africa Leadership Initiative – East Africa (ALI-EA) & LéO Africa Institute signed a memorandum of understanding establishing an operational framework for strengthening the strategic partnership between both organizations in East Africa. The agreement covers cooperation in executing activities as co- implementing partners to support the programs designed for the personal and leadership growth of emerging young leaders, in pursuit of a shared commitment to building a critical mass of successful, high impact, values-based leaders on the African continent. The Africa Leadership Initiative - East Africa (ALI-EA) has a Memorandum of Understanding with the LéO Africa Institute. This collaboration will leverage mutual strengths and resources, driving a dynamic platform designed for the professional growth of Africa's emerging leaders.   Our Programme’s Key Initiatives will focus on:
  • Joint Implementation: implementing annual programs including fellowships, skills training, workshops, and seminars tailored for young and emerging leaders.
  • Resource Mobilization: jointly mobilizing financial and technical resources to support programs for emerging leaders.
  • Special Forums for emerging leaders: Looking to the future, we anticipate having a separate forum for young leaders, during the bi-annual Africa Impact Forum.
  • Tribute to a Legacy: A notable feature of our partnership is the annual Ali Mufuruki Distinguished Lecture Series. This series celebrates the remarkable life and legacy of the ALI-EA Founder, the late Ali Mufuruki.
